Description
Geary County State Park is a combination wildlife and fishing area in Geary County, near Junction City in the scenic Flint Hills of North Central Kansas. Originally purchased in 1959, this park boasts 97 acres of water and about 185 acres of native tallgrass prairie and oakhackberry uplands. Every Memorial Day and Labor Day my family and I go visit a cabin on Clark’s Creek and we drive past this beautiful lake. Occasionally we stop and do some hiking. The lake is always breathtaking, but there are some other, more subtle views that come from taking the hiking trails. If you time your trip to be after some rainfall, you might just get to see the waterfall in all its glory. This park is truly a hidden gem that you must explore.
The stunning and vibrant colors of this piece go well with pretty much any room and it looks great hung on the wall and framed. It is guaranteed to be a conversation piece the next time you entertain company.
