Pointe-aux-Outardes is a piece of land that juts out into the St. Lawrence River on the North Shore in Quebec. Translated, it means Point of Bustards (which is a type of bird). This lightly inhabited village municipality is just SouthWest of Baie-Comeau. It is rich in flora and fauna. At one end of the Pointe, you can find a massive field of wild blueberries. On the opposite end, you can visit a nature park that is mostly made up of salt marshes. I spent many summers during my childhood in this place. The scene depicted in my poster is the view of the St. Lawrence River from my Grandparent’s balcony. This visual memory is very dear to me and I hope someone else can enjoy it as well.
The wonderful mix of colors from any of the variants go well with pretty much any room and it looks great hung on the wall and framed. It is guaranteed to be a conversation piece the next time you entertain company.
